Identification

Colonise planets, research, build fleets and time your attacks to the second while other players do the same to you. Fleet composition, resource ratios and espionage are as deep as anything in a browser, and the interface has not softened to meet you. The people who love it love it for exactly that.

Observed

Universes run for years, so there is no round to wait for and no clean sheet. A guide stayed open in a second tab for all three weeks. We lost a fleet in week two to a player who had read the patch notes more carefully, and respected it.

Diet

Dark Matter buys officers and speed and is noticeable in older universes. New universes are the fairest place to start.

Range

Patient, numerate players who want the purest strategy on the site and do not need to be told where to click.
